The Vault

What is the Disney Vault? The Disney Vault is not an actual vault but a marketing practice. What Disney does is limit the availability of a specific title to a specific period of time.

It used to be that a movie classic would be put in the "vault" for 10 years. It now seems like the time between releases is about 5 years but it varies. Keeping track of when movies are in and out of the vault can be confusing.

That's why we created this page - to keep you informed as to when DVDs are going into the vault, when they will be coming out of the vault, and what is currently in the vault.
